The ASPCA was founded in 1866 as the first humane organization in the Western Hemisphere. The Society was formed to alleviate the injustices animals faced then, and we continue to battle cruelty today. Dogs Recently I was chatting with Yunhan on English Share. We were talking about trains and how she had to stand for 8 hours coming from home on a recent trip. We then began to compare populations of the country and then the dimensions of the lands. New York has 8 million people, approximately, and for some reason I thought of Chongqing. I was starting to look up that city to get an idea of its population, and I came on a breed of dog - Chongqing Dog - which is a breed I was unaware of. I really like the looks of this dog, The incident sent my mind in two directions, one of which is pertinent here. There must be many breeds in the world that I have not heard of, and it would be interesting to try to cumulate information of the various breeds around the world. For the time being I am just going to add some information in the information section of this site. ( for the future: City Census and Space Information The other direction is to add another section to information which lists some population and size figures for various world cities.) Return
